When facing a terminal diagnosis, it is natural to have your faith shaken. However, this does not mean that you have lost your faith. Instead, it is a good time to do an assessment or take an inventory of your faith. Ask yourself the following questions: What are the obstacles to my faith? What am I lacking in my faith? What are the things that I am holding onto that are not based on God's Word? When you come up with the correct answers, your faith ought to be strengthened. If you are unable to make a faith statement, pray like the father of the boy who wasn't healed by the disciples, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mk 9:24). This prayer acknowledges your weakness and asks God to help you in your unbelief.

Faith is not just about feeling or emotions, but about turning to the Lord and trusting in Him. When you speak the psalms, you are doing faith. Remember that faith is the work of the Spirit of God, and it is not something that we can produce on our own. As the Bible says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Ro 10:17). Therefore, it is essential to learn more of God's Word so that you can know Him better and obey Him more fully. Pray specifically about any obstacle in your life, and ask for Christ to enlighten you, give you strength to overcome the roadblocks, and help you to grow in your faith.

When your faith is shaken, it is not because you lack faith, but because you are facing a situation that challenges your faith. In such times, it is essential to remember that faith is not just about having great mountain-moving faith, but about trusting in God's sovereignty and goodness, even when things do not go as we want them to. As the Bible says, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Therefore, pray and ask God to help you to see the good in the situation, and to trust in His sovereignty and goodness. This will help you to grow in your faith and to find peace, joy, and comfort in the midst of adversity.
