In order to bridge the gap between different cultures and communities, we must first acknowledge the power of words to shape our understanding of the world and ourselves. However, our words can only be effective in bridging the gap if they are rooted in truth and grounded in a shared understanding of reality. When we reject reality and exchange it for subjectivist fantasy and self-determination, our words become empty and our communication is hindered. This is precisely what has happened in our culture, where people have rejected the truth and are now seeking stability through various means. As a result, our words have lost their power to communicate effectively, and our faith is being tested by chaos and uncertainty.

The only way to restore the power of our words is to seek out the truth and to make faith give account of itself at the bar of history. This means that we must be willing to engage in a honest dialogue with people of different cultures and religions, recognizing our differences and avoiding the temptation to minimize or subsume them under some unifying label. By doing so, we can create a space for people of conflicting beliefs to live peacefully together, without requiring them to agree on a common faith. This is not to say that agreement is impossible, but rather that it is not a necessary condition for cooperation and understanding. As the apostle Paul wrote, "For though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal" (1 Corinthians 13:1). Our words must be accompanied by love and a genuine desire to understand and relate to others.

In order to achieve this, we must be willing to confront the prevailing cultural winds of political correctness and to submit our sacred heritage to the scrutiny of reason and evidence. We must also be willing to recognize the limitations of our own knowledge and understanding, and to acknowledge the mystery and complexity of the world around us. By doing so, we can create a space for people of different cultures and religions to come together and to find common ground, not through agreement, but through a shared commitment to truth and understanding. As the Bible teaches, "For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). Our words must be accompanied by empathy and compassion, and a recognition of the shared humanity that unites us all. By doing so, we can bridge the gap between different cultures and communities, and create a more just and peaceful world.
