Your Question:
Can I still have a relationship with God?
Answer:
As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with the idea of having a relationship with God. But I believe it's simpler than we often make it out to be. If you've never established a personal relationship with God, you can do it right now. It's as simple as praying, "Jesus, come into my heart and save me." I've seen people's lives transformed by this simple act of faith. Once you have a right-standing relationship with Jesus Christ, you can expect God to continue to pour rivers of living water through you, regardless of your circumstances. This is a promise from Scripture, and I've seen it play out in the lives of many people. But it's not just about what God can do for us; it's about our relationship with Him. I believe that our relationship with God should be as simple as a child's relationship with their parent. We should be able to come to Him with confidence, knowing that He loves us and is always working for our good. When we sin, it's not like we lose our status as God's child. Think of it like a human family - a child may offend their parents, but they still remain a child. The same is true with God. We may struggle with sin, but we don't lose our relationship with Him. In fact, God reveals to us who He is, not what He's going to do. He wants us to trust Him and surrender to Him, even when we don't understand what's happening. By doing so, we can live a life of dependence on God, free from worry and anxiety.
