The Problem of Punishment

Is it fair to punish me for my sins? This question has been debated by theologians and philosophers for centuries. Some argue that punishment is unfair because it is based on a flawed system, where humans are held accountable for actions that are beyond their control. Others argue that punishment is necessary to maintain order and deter future wrongdoing. From a biblical perspective, punishment is a natural consequence of sin. God's law is clear: "Sin is a transgression of God's law, and so all sin is against God, and only the Lawgiver can forgive transgressors" (Ps. 51:4).

The Nature of Sin
