The Unnatural Act of Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a process, not an event, that requires practice to perfect. It is unnatural and takes effort to relinquish bitterness and resentment. Forgiveness is not about forgetting, but not holding a person's sin against them. As Christians, we must forgive as we have been forgiven, and this is a choice we must make continually. When we are hurt, we have a choice to make: give in to hurt, resentment, and bitterness, or grow as a Christian and learn to forgive.
