What's the point of working hard if it's not valued?

The Bible offers a different perspective on the value of hard work. According to the book of Proverbs, wisdom is worth whatever it takes, and hard work is necessary to achieve it (Prov 13-18). The Bible teaches that work is a privilege that contributes to a proper sense of self-respect (Col 3:22-24). When we work hard, we are not just doing it for ourselves, but also for the benefit of others. This is seen in the example of Paul, who worked as a tentmaker to support himself and not be a burden to others (Acts 18:3).

The value of hard work is not just about personal satisfaction or achievement, but about living a life that reflects Christian values and teachings. When we work hard, we are able to provide for ourselves and our families, and we are also able to be a blessing to others. This is in line with the biblical teaching that we should work to provide for ourselves and our families, and also to be generous and give to those in need (2 Thess 3:10).
