Is God still with me even when I doubt?

When we doubt, it can be tempting to think that God is not with us or that we've lost our faith. However, this is not necessarily the case. As the Bible teaches, God is always with us, even when we doubt (Hebrews 13:5). In fact, the Bible encourages us to approach God with basic trust, openness to, and even a desire for the truth of His existence (Psalm 119:66). This means that we should not approach God with a skeptical mindset, trying to prove His existence or doubting His presence. Instead, we should trust in His goodness and sovereignty, even when we're struggling with doubts.

When God causes us to doubt, it's often because He wants us to examine our hearts and lives. He wants us to consider whether our doubts are rooted in a lack of trust or a lack of surrender. As the Bible says, "We all have doubts. But if we focus on our doubts, they will all come to an end" (2 Corinthians 4:17). This doesn't mean that we should ignore our doubts or try to suppress them. Rather, it means that we should approach them with a willingness to learn and grow, trusting that God is working in us and through us, even when we don't understand.

So, is God still with me even when I doubt? The answer is yes. God is always with us, even when we doubt. In fact, He is more present and active in our lives when we're struggling with doubts than when we're feeling confident and secure. As the Bible says, "No sea is deeper than the ocean of His love" (1 Corinthians 13:2). This means that we can trust God, even when we're struggling with doubts, because He is always with us, guiding and directing us, even when we don't understand. So, let's approach God with basic trust, openness to, and even a desire for the truth of His existence, and trust that He will work in us and through us, even when we're struggling with doubts.
