Biblical Answer

Balancing finances can be a challenging but important part of responsible stewardship. As someone who has been married to Susan for 19 years, I've learned that it's essential to prioritize our finances and make sure they align with our values. We've been blessed with two children, Joshua and Rebecca, and I want to make sure they understand the importance of managing money wisely.

To balance our finances, we make a budget and stick to it. We also prioritize giving to God and to others, as we believe that our resources are a gift from Him. I pray for wisdom to handle money wisely and make good decisions about how we spend. I also strive to find a balance between being generous and being responsible, making sure that we're not being miserly or spending needlessly. Our goal is to live free of burdensome debt and to be good stewards of what God has given us.

I believe that living within our means and being mindful of our spending is crucial to achieving financial balance. We've learned to say no to things that aren't essential and to prioritize what's truly important. By doing so, we're able to give more freely and to live more simply. As the Bible says, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven" (Matthew 6:19-20). By prioritizing what truly matters, we can find financial balance and peace of mind.
