The Burden of Choice

As Christians, we often face difficult decisions that require us to choose between our family and our health. This question can be particularly challenging, especially when it comes to caring for loved ones who may be struggling with illness or addiction. On one hand, we are commanded to love and care for our family members (Matthew 22:37-40), which can lead us to prioritize their needs over our own well-being. On the other hand, we are also called to prioritize our own health and well-being, as our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

The Sovereignty of God

In times of uncertainty, it's essential to remember that God is sovereign over all creation, including our families and our health.
