Embracing Change and Growing in Faith

When we consider the possibility of losing everything, it's natural to feel a sense of fear and uncertainty. However, as we journey through life as Christians, we must remember that growth and change are essential parts of our spiritual development. The Bible reminds us that we are still becoming, and that's okay (1 Corinthians 13:11). It's a process that requires effort and dedication, but it's a journey worth taking.

As we seek to deepen our relationship with Jesus, we may need to let go of things that once brought us joy, but no longer align with our values and faith. This can be a difficult process, but it's necessary for our spiritual growth. The Bible teaches us that our love for Jesus should inform our choices and decisions, including what activities, movies, and magazines we consume (2 Corinthians 6:14-17). As we repair our relationship with Jesus, we may find that some things that once seemed acceptable now feel out of place.

The key to navigating this process is to focus on our relationship with Jesus, rather than the things we may need to let go of. When we choose to follow Jesus, we are choosing to leave behind the old self and embrace a new way of living. This may involve sacrifice, but it's a sacrifice that leads to a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. As the Bible says, "We choose hopelessness. We choose it. But there is a way out" (2 Corinthians 4:8-12). By choosing to follow Jesus and embracing the process of growth and change, we can find freedom and joy in our relationship with Him.
