Trust in Human Systems

As a Christian, we must acknowledge that our trust in human systems, including medical insurance, is ultimately misplaced. The Bible teaches us that "man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward" (Job 5:7). This means that no matter how secure we think our lives are, we are all subject to uncertainty and unpredictability. Our trust in medical insurance is a form of idolatry, where we put our faith in a system that is inherently flawed and unreliable.

The Bible also teaches us that "the Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O God, endures forever" (Psalm 138:8). This verse reminds us that our ultimate trust should be in God, not in human systems. We can have confidence in His sovereignty and goodness, even when life is uncertain. In fact, the Bible tells us that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). This means that we can trust in God's presence and provision, even in the midst of uncertainty.

So, can you really trust your medical insurance? The answer is no. Our trust should be in God, not in human systems. While medical insurance can provide temporary relief and security, it is ultimately unreliable and subject to change. By putting our trust in God, we can have confidence in His sovereignty and goodness, even in the midst of uncertainty. As the Bible says, "the Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O God, endures forever" (Psalm 138:8). We can trust in God's presence and provision, even when life is uncertain.
