Understanding Trust in God

When facing business failure, it's natural to question God's goodness and trustworthiness. However, trust in God is not about having all the answers or seeing immediate success. Rather, it's about recognizing God's sovereignty and goodness, even in the midst of failure. When we admit our mistakes and limitations, we can begin to trust God's guidance and provision. This requires honesty with ourselves and a willingness to wait for God's direction.

Proactive Trust

To cultivate trust in God, we must be proactive in our response to failure. This involves asking God to help us react by faith to future failures and applying a new strategy to handle them. We must also be willing to take risks and launch out into God's will, even when it's uncertain. By doing so, we can develop a knack for trusting God consistently, which is called perseverance. This means responding to God in obedience, even when we don't understand what He is doing. As we establish ourselves on the eternal truth that God is holy love, we can develop mental composure and faith that throws ourselves on God's goodness.

Faith in Action

Faith is not just about intellectual assent, but about living out our trust in God in real-life situations. When we face failure, we must not turn back to elementary prayers or panic-stricken responses. Instead, we must learn to wait on God and trust His guidance, even when it's unclear. By doing so, we can develop a comprehensive trust in God and freedom from worry about the future. This means recognizing that God's purposes are not limited to our individual success or happiness, but are part of a larger, overarching plan. As we trust in God, we can become more sure of Him than of anyone or anything else and find that He was right in the middle of our everyday circumstances all the time. By getting into the habit of dealing with God about everything, we can learn to trust Him in all circumstances, not just in times of success or prosperity.
