Why did I have to lose my sense of purpose and my job at the same time?

The loss of sense of purpose and job may seem like a coincidence, but it could be the providence of God indicating that we are in the wrong place at the wrong time for the wrong reason. Our job may not be a good fit for our particular gifts, and losing it may be an opportunity to reassess our priorities and find a new path that aligns with our purpose.

The purpose of God for our lives is not just about achieving a specific goal, but about depending on Him and His power now. It is about staying calm, faithful, and unconfused while in the middle of the turmoil of life. Job's experience of dereliction was a means for him to enter into a life of naked faith, to learn to love God for himself alone. Similarly, our loss of sense of purpose and job may be an opportunity for us to refocus on our relationship with God and to discover His purpose for our lives.

In order to find our purpose, we need to focus on Jesus and look at Him as we run the race. We need to repeat our purpose often and ask ourselves if the tasks we do each day are moving us towards that purpose. We may need to update our life plan and take small steps to engage in the struggle. By doing so, we can stay on the right path and reach the depth of life with God. Ultimately, our purpose is not about achieving a specific goal, but about enjoying God and taking pleasure in Him.
