Can I still trust God when everything seems to be going wrong?
When everything seems to be going wrong, it can be tempting to question our trust in God. However, as we see in Matthew 9:29, "According to your faith, let it be to you." This verse reminds us that our trust in God is not about control, but about realizing that He has suffered on account of evil. It's a human tendency to ask why God doesn't remove the evil in the world or to blame Him for it. However, we must come to the realization that when all goes wrong, God's way is right. He is still moving on our behalf, wanting our greatest good to come together for His glory.
Trusting God in the darkness requires a deep understanding of His sovereignty and goodness. When we trust God, we are not turning our backs on our problems, but rather, we are surrendering them to Him. We must learn to trust God for who He is, not just for what He can do for us. This means recognizing that our trust is not in our own abilities or circumstances, but in the character and power of God. As we learn to trust God, we will come to realize that He is working everything out for our good, even when it seems like everything is going wrong.
In order to trust God, we must learn to let go of our need for control and self-sufficiency. This means recognizing that we are not capable of fixing our problems on our own and that we need Jesus. Our search for self-satisfaction has been a failure, and we now turn to the One who has been our true destination all along. Trusting God is not about being passive or inactive, but about being active and obedient to His will. As we learn to trust God, we will find that He is faithful and good, and that He will work everything out for our good, even in the midst of darkness and difficulty. I pray that you will be encouraged to trust God, even when everything seems to be going wrong. May you come to know His peace and joy, and may you find strength and hope in Him. Amen.
