Navigating uncertain times when our priorities are constantly being tested requires a thoughtful and intentional approach. First, we must set priorities that align with our values and goals. This involves intentionally becoming directed persons rather than driven persons, learning to prioritize what is truly important and let go of what is not. We must also examine our priorities for inefficiency and waste, cutting back on things that do not contribute to our well-being or the well-being of others. This may involve reworking our schedules and making new commitments to ensure that we are using our time and resources in a way that is consistent with our values.

Second, we must be proactive in handling failure and uncertainty. This involves getting proactive about a new strategy to handle failure, praying and asking God to help us react by faith to any future failures. We must also apply our new strategy to the next failure, rather than simply reacting in the same old way. This requires a willingness to learn and grow from our experiences, and to be open to new ways of thinking and behaving. As the Bible says, "We achieve inner peace when our schedule aligns with our values." (Stephen Covey) When our priorities are in order, we are better equipped to handle uncertainty and make decisions that align with our values.

Finally, we must continually examine our priorities and values to ensure that they are helping us achieve our goals and live a life that is true, good, and important. This involves taking a continual look at our values and assessing whether they are helping or hindering us in achieving our goals. We must also be willing to make changes and adjustments as needed, and to seek guidance from God and others as we navigate uncertain times. As the Bible says, "We should not desire such testing, and should pray to be spared exposure to situations in which we are vulnerable." (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) But when we do find ourselves in uncertain times, we must pray to be delivered from temptation and to be given the strength and wisdom to make decisions that align with our values and priorities.
