How Do We Prioritize Love When the World Is Against Us?

When the world is against us, it can be challenging to prioritize love. The Bible teaches us that love is not just a feeling, but an action. It's a choice we make to put the needs of others before our own. In fact, Jesus taught us that the greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). However, when the world is against us, it can be tempting to prioritize our own needs and desires over the needs of others.

But the Bible teaches us that true love is not self-centered, but other-centered. It's not about how we feel, but about how we act. When we prioritize love, we prioritize God's love and His commandments. We prioritize the needs of others over our own, even when it's difficult. This means that we must be willing to sacrifice our own desires and needs for the sake of others. It means that we must be willing to forgive, to serve, and to put others before ourselves. As the Bible says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud" (1 Corinthians 13:4).

When we prioritize love, we prioritize God's love and His commandments, and we become more like Him. We become more loving, more patient, and more kind. We become more like the image of God that we were created to be. And that's the greatest love of all.
