Why Does God Permit Suffering?

The question of why God permits suffering is a profound and natural inquiry. It is not simply an intellectual question, but also an emotional and spiritual one. The Bible acknowledges these questions and provides answers.

Understanding God's Sovereignty

God is sovereign over all things, and nothing happens apart from his knowledge and will. This means that when we suffer, God is not surprised or caught off guard. He is not distant or uninvolved. Rather, he is actively involved in our lives, even in the midst of suffering. This understanding can be both comforting and challenging.
