Understanding Purpose in Life from a Biblical Perspective

The question of purpose in life is a profound and universal inquiry that has puzzled humans across cultures and centuries. From an evangelical Christian perspective, the Bible offers a clear and compelling answer to this question. According to Scripture, the major purpose of life is to know, love, and serve God, and to enjoy a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ (Matthew 22:37-40, John 17:3). This purpose is rooted in the understanding that God created humanity in His own image and for His own glory (Genesis 1:26-27). As such, our purpose in life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (Psalm 16:11).

By surrendering our lives to Christ and living according to His teachings, we can experience a sense of purpose and fulfillment that is not based on our own efforts, but on the love and redemption of God. This is the good news of the Gospel, and it is the answer to the question of purpose in life that we all seek.
