Prayer and Spiritual Growth

When struggling financially, it's easy to feel like giving up. However, instead of throwing in the towel, we can use this opportunity for spiritual growth. As the Bible says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance" (James 1:2-3). By choosing to persevere, we can grow closer to God and become more like Him.

Praying for Wisdom and Guidance

One of the most important things we can do when struggling financially is to pray for wisdom and guidance. We can pray that our husband will be given the wisdom to handle money wisely and make good decisions about how to spend it. We can also pray that he will find a balance between spending needlessly and being miserly. Furthermore, we can pray that he will be a generous giver, as God has instructed in His Word.

Embracing Marriage Struggles

Rather than running from the struggles of marriage, we can choose to draw nearer to God and grow in our relationship with Him. By embracing our struggles and persevering, we can reflect more of the spirit of Jesus Christ and become more like Him. As the Bible says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). By choosing to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, we can navigate even the most difficult financial struggles with faith and hope.
