Biblical Answer

When we experience the loss of joy in our lives, it can be a challenging and difficult time. We may wonder why God has taken away our ability to enjoy life. However, the Bible teaches us that the ability to enjoy life is a gift of God, and it is not something that we can achieve on our own. Our purpose in life is not to successfully do something of our own choosing, but to fulfill the purposes of God. As the Psalmist says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). This means that our joy is not based on our circumstances, but on our relationship with God.

The Bible says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance" (James 1:2-3). This does not mean that we seek to suffer or experience hardship, but rather that we learn to find joy in the midst of trials and tribulations. As we focus on God and His presence in our lives, we can experience joy even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Ultimately, the ability to enjoy life is not something that we can achieve on our own, but it is a gift of God. As we seek to know and enjoy God, we can experience joy in all aspects of our lives. The Bible says, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11). This means that our joy is not based on our circumstances, but on our relationship with God. As we focus on God and His presence in our lives, we can experience joy even in the midst of difficult circumstances. We can choose to become experts in joy and to experience the fullness of joy that God has for us. Divine joy is possible, and it is available to us all.
