Can I still have a relationship with God after all this?

When we struggle with our relationship with God, it can be tempting to think that it's not possible to have a relationship with Him after all the mistakes we've made. However, the Bible teaches us that our relationship with God is not based on our performance, but on His love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. In Psalm 139:17, it says, "How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!" This verse reminds us that God's thoughts are precious to us, and that He is always thinking of us and working in our lives.

When we try to appease God by doing good deeds, we can become trapped in a cycle of trying to earn His love and approval. However, this approach is flawed because it's based on our own efforts rather than God's grace. As the Bible says, "Whatever good deeds we do are intended to be a response to what God has done, not a cause of it" (Romans 3:24-25). This means that our relationship with God is not dependent on our performance, but on His love and forgiveness.

So, can we still have a relationship with God after all this? The answer is yes. Through the resurrection and ascension power of Jesus, and through the Holy Spirit He has sent, we can be lifted into a relationship with God that is based on His love and forgiveness, rather than our performance. As we pray to God in Jesus' name, we can experience His presence and love in our lives, and be lifted into a position of fellowship with Him. This is a permanent relationship, as the Bible says, "If we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ" (Romans 8:17). So, no matter what mistakes we've made, we can still have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
