Your Question:
what if i'm not worthy?
Answer:
I want to talk to you about something that's been on my mind lately. I've been feeling like I'm not worthy. Like I'm not good enough, like I'm a failure. I've been wondering if I'm just not cut out for this whole Christian thing. I can understand why you'd be feeling that way. As a pastor, I've seen many people struggle with feelings of worthlessness. But let me tell you, as a follower of Christ, we don't earn our worthiness through our actions or merits. We are worthy because of who God is, not because of who we are. In fact, the Bible says that we are "dead in our trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2:1) before we come to Christ. But through redemption, God gives us value and makes us worthy. That's a hard concept to grasp, I know. But it's one that I've had to learn myself. As a Christian, I'm not worthy because I'm perfect or because I've achieved some kind of moral perfection. I'm worthy because God loves me and has chosen me, despite my flaws and shortcomings. And that's the same for you. You don't have to earn God's love or approval. You are worthy because of His love for you, not because of anything you've done or not done. So, I want to encourage you to remember that you are loved, you are valued, and you are worthy, not because of who you are, but because of who God is. Does that make sense?
