Steadfast Faith in the Midst of Trials

When everything seems to be going wrong, it's natural to feel discouraged and wonder if our faith is strong enough to withstand the challenges we face. However, the Bible teaches us that our faith should be steadfast and unshakeable, even in the midst of trials. In Hebrews 3:14, we read, "For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence steadfast to the end." This means that our faith should remain firm and unchanging, even when we're faced with difficulties and uncertainties.

Assessing and Building Our Faith

So, how can we keep our faith when everything's going wrong? The first step is to assess our faith and identify areas where we need to grow. We need to ask ourselves questions like, "What am I believing for?" "Do I truly trust God's promises?" "Am I relying on my own strength and abilities, or am I putting my faith in God?" We also need to talk to God continually, claiming His promises and asking for His guidance and strength. As we do this, our faith will begin to grow stronger, and we'll learn to trust God even when we don't know what He's doing.

Cultivating Dynamic Faith

Dynamic faith is the kind of faith that can overcome any obstacle and stand firm in the midst of trials. It's the kind of faith that says, "I believe that God will do something, even when I don't know what He will do." It's the kind of faith that comes from daily personal time with God, where we talk to Him and He talks to us as friend to friend. When we establish a prayer-relationship with God, we begin to understand what He is doing, and we know Him as holy love. This kind of faith is not based on our feelings or circumstances, but on the eternal truth of God's character and promises. As we cultivate this kind of faith, we'll learn to trust God even when everything seems to be going wrong. We'll learn to say, "I believe that God will do something, even when I don't know what He will do." And we'll discover that our faith is stronger than we ever thought possible.
