Starting Over at 65

At 65, you may feel like you've reached a plateau in life, and starting over might seem daunting. However, with a renewed commitment to faith and a willingness to apprentice under Jesus, you can begin a new chapter in your life. As Jesus taught, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me" (Luke 9:23). This means being intentional about your choices and decisions, and following Jesus' process of training.

A key aspect of starting over is letting go of your old life and embracing a new identity in Christ. As the Bible says, "If anyone is in Christ, the new creation: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). This doesn't mean you'll be completely healthy and strong forever, but you'll be renewed and strengthened in your spirit. To start over, you need to believe in God's almighty power and ask Him to transform your life. You must also be willing to let go of your old ways and habits, and trust in God's sovereignty over your life.

To start over, you need to be intentional about your choices and decisions, and follow Jesus' process of training. This means starting where you are, not where you should be, and being patient with yourself as you learn and grow. As the Bible says, "Start children off in the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it" (Proverbs 22:6). By starting over and following Jesus, you can experience a new life of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. Remember, it's never too late to start over, and God is always available to guide and transform you.
