What's the point of living when I'm in so much pain?
What's the point of living when I're in so much pain?
I want to acknowledge the pain you're experiencing right now. It's a heavy burden to carry, and it's understandable to wonder if there's any purpose to life when it feels like everything is overwhelming. However, I want to encourage you to consider a few things.
Firstly, pain can be a catalyst for spiritual growth. When we're in pain, we're more likely to seek out God and His comfort. As the Bible says, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). Even in the midst of pain, we can find hope and comfort in God's presence. He is our Rock, our Refuge, and our Redeemer. He is always with us, even when we feel like we're alone.
Secondly, pain is not a sign of God's abandonment or punishment. Sometimes, we may think that our pain is a result of our own sin or mistakes, but that's not always the case. As the Bible says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). God is sovereign, and He is working everything out for our good, even in the midst of pain. He is not the author of pain, but He is the God of all comfort. He can take our pain and use it to draw us closer to Himself, to refine us, and to make us more like Christ. So, even in the midst of pain, we can find hope and purpose in God's presence. He is our comfort, our strength, and our Savior. He is always with us, and He will never leave us.
