Understanding the Fear of Death

The fear of death is a common phenomenon that affects many people. It is natural to have some apprehension about the unknown, even if we are confident that we will be with Jesus after death. The Bible does not provide many specifics about the afterlife, which can be intimidating. Additionally, the fear of the way we will die can be a significant concern, particularly if we have witnessed a difficult death. This fear can develop into depression if left unattended.

Confessing Unbelief and Focusing on God's Assurance

To deal with the fear of death, we need to confess our unbelief and focus on God's assurance to us. The Bible teaches us to fear God, who has authority to throw us into hell, rather than fearing death itself (Luke 12:4-5). We should also consider the terrible outcome of not having a living relationship with God, which can lead to eternal destruction.
