Biblical Answer

The question of why God allows suffering is a complex and difficult one. Some people may assume that God doesn't love us because He lets us suffer, but this is not the case. God does love us and He meets us in our suffering, promising to bring us through it. Jesus Himself suffered greatly, but He did so because He loves us so much. It can be a chance for us to trust Him, even when we don't understand what is happening, and to find comfort in His presence. As C.S. Lewis said, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world." Our suffering can be a means of drawing us closer to God, and it can be a way for us to experience His love and care for us, even in the midst of hardship and difficulty.
