Biblical Answer

In the midst of chaos, it is possible to find God. The Bible teaches that God is sovereign over all creation, including the chaotic elements of the world. While it is true that God allows chaotic energy to exist within the structured cosmos, it is not spiraling out of his control. In fact, God is the Creator of the world and is in control of both cosmic chaos and the forces that restrain it. This is evident in Psalm 29:16-19, where the psalmist pictures himself in deep waters, signifying chaos and evil, but God swoops down and rescues him.

The Bible also teaches that God is not distant or disconnected from the world. He is actively involved in the lives of His people, seeking to draw them near to Himself. In Deuteronomy 4:29, God says, "But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul." This suggests that God is not hiding from us, but rather, He is waiting for us to seek Him out. Furthermore, Jesus promised that if we seek, we will find. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus says, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

In the midst of chaos, it is essential to remember that God is not a distant or disconnected God. He is actively involved in the lives of His people, seeking to draw them near to Himself. If we are troubled and afraid by the waves and turbulence of life, we can find comfort and peace in seeking God. We can ask, seek, and knock, and God will respond. He will guide us through the storms of life and lead us to a place of peace and joy. As the psalmist says, "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13).
