Can I Really Make a Living on My Own?

As a Christian, we are called to live a life of faith and trust in God's provision. This means that we must learn to trust Him with our finances and our future. The Bible says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). This means that our focus should not be on making a living, but on living a life that honors God.

The question of whether or not we can make a living on our own is not just about finances, but about our relationship with God. If we are not living a life of faith and trust, then we will always be uncertain and insecure about our future. But if we are living a life that is pleasing to God, then we can trust that He will provide for us. The Bible says, "The Lord will provide for you abundantly, so that you have everything you need, just as He promised" (Deuteronomy 8:18).

So, can we really make a living on our own? The answer is yes, but not in the way that the world defines it. We can make a living on our own by trusting in God's provision and living a life that honors Him. This means being faithful with what we have, and trusting that God will provide for us. It means being content with what we have, and not being controlled by our desires for more. As the Bible says, "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation" (Philippians 4:11-12). By living a life of faith and trust, we can truly make a living on our own, and live a life that is pleasing to God.
