Is it even worth fighting anymore?
The Fight Within
When we feel like quitting, it's essential to examine our reasons for fighting. Are we fighting for the right reasons? Are we fighting because we genuinely believe in a cause or because we're trying to prove something to others? As the Bible says, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). We often fight in the external world, but we must first deal with the internal battles within our own hearts and minds.
The Bible encourages us to "cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). When we feel overwhelmed, it's easy to give up, but God promises to be our strength in times of weakness. He gives us other people to support us, as the church is like a "tag-team wrestling match" where we can call for help when we need it. We must not be afraid to ask for help when we're struggling, and we should surround ourselves with people who will encourage and support us in our faith.
In our walk with God, we will inevitably face resistance and opposition, but this is not a reason to quit. The Bible says, "We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). When we feel like giving up, we must remember that God is stronger than our struggles, and He is working everything out for our good. As the Psalmist says, "I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread" (Psalm 37:25). We must press on, even when it's hard, because God is with us, and He will give us the strength we need to overcome.
