Can I still have a sense of purpose with a terminal illness?

Living with a terminal illness can be a challenging and difficult experience, both physically and emotionally. However, it is not impossible to find a sense of purpose during this time. In fact, having a terminal illness can be a catalyst for spiritual growth and a deeper understanding of oneself and one's relationship with God. As the Bible says, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). This means that even in the midst of suffering, God can use it for our good and to bring us closer to Him.

One way to find purpose in a terminal illness is to focus on serving others. As the Bible says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). This means that our purpose is not just to focus on our own well-being, but to serve others and to bring hope and love to those around us. This can be done through acts of kindness, volunteering, or simply being a listening ear to those who need it. By focusing on serving others, we can find a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives, even in the midst of suffering.
