The Use of Trying Despite Everything Going Wrong

When everything seems to be going wrong, it's natural to feel like giving up. However, this is where we must remind ourselves that we are not failures until we give up and refuse to try again. The Bible story of Noah's Ark (Genesis 6-7) teaches us that even in the midst of wickedness and destruction, God can use our efforts to bring about good. The parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8) also shows us that perseverance and faith can lead to breakthroughs, even when everything seems to be going wrong.

So, what's the use of trying? The answer lies in recognizing that every failure is an opportunity to learn and grow. When we face difficulties, we can either let them defeat us or use them as a chance to seek clearer light and understanding. As the Bible says, "I do not mean that the people who do this are not desperately wicked. I do mean that wickedness, when you examine it, turns out to be the pursuit of some good in the wrong way." (Genesis 6-7) By examining our failures and seeking God's guidance, we can turn our mistakes into stepping stones for growth and success.

To get proactive about handling failure, we must first pray and ask God to help us react by faith to any future failures. However, prayer is not enough. We must also apply a new strategy to handle failure, one that involves examining our actions, seeking God's guidance, and persevering through difficulties. As the Bible says, "Lord, when I fail, I will____." (Psalm 51:17) By doing so, we can turn our failures into opportunities for growth and success, and live a life that reflects God's purposes and plans for us.
