Trusting God in the Midst of Chaos

When everything feels like it's falling apart, trusting God can be a daunting task. The Bible reminds us that disaster occurs in our lives when we lack the mental composure that comes from establishing ourselves on the eternal truth that God is holy love (Job 13:15). Faith is the supreme effort of our lives, throwing ourselves on the fact that God is holy love. This is where trust in God begins – in the realization that He is holy love and that His way is right, even when everything seems to be going wrong.

Establishing a Relationship with God

One of the key ways to cultivate trust in God is through our daily personal time with Him. This is when we talk to Him and He talks to us, friend to friend. As we establish a prayer-relationship with God, we begin to see that He is not just a distant figure, but a loving Father who is always with us. We come to understand that God's way is not to remove evil from the world, but to use it for our greatest good and His glory. This understanding helps us to trust God even in the midst of darkness and uncertainty.

Trust in the Face of Adversity

When we face losses or setbacks, we may be tempted to question God's sovereignty or even blame Him for the evil in the world. However, trust in God is not about ignoring the difficulties or pain we face, but about recognizing that He is holy love and that His way is right, even when we don't understand it. We can become more sure of Him than of anyone or anything else by entering into the secret place and dealing with Him about everything. As we do, we come to realize that God was right in the middle of our everyday circumstances all the time, and that He is still moving on our behalf, wanting our greatest good to come together for His glory. By establishing a relationship with God and trusting Him in the midst of chaos, we can experience the dynamic faith that comes from knowing Him.
