Your Question:
How do I find peace in the midst of chaos?
Answer:
As a pastor, I've seen many people seek peace in their lives, but often, they don't know where to start. According to Stephen Covey, we achieve inner peace when our schedule aligns with our values. However, this is not always the case, and many of us live with anxiety and tension. I believe that true inner peace is impossible unless it is received from Jesus. When we turn to Christ by faith, we are freed from the slavery of sin and empowered to fight. The Bible says that the peace of God is first and foremost peace with God; it is the state of affairs in which God, instead of being against us, is for us. When we receive Jesus' peace, it is not a natural peace, but a deep and immeasurable peace that comes from looking into His face and fully understanding and receiving His quiet contentment. This peace is not just a feeling, but a reality that can transform our lives and relationships. As a Christian, I believe that we are called to be peacemakers, not just peacekeepers. This means seeking peace with others and within ourselves, and being willing to forgive and be forgiven. It also means being patient and kind, even in difficult situations. I pray that my family, including my wife Susan and our children Joshua and Rebecca, will be peacemakers and demonstrate the love of Christ to those around us.
