Biblical Answer

As a pastor and a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe that responding to injustice with kindness is not about establishing what is right or wrong based on the mood of the moment, but rather by acknowledging our own faults, esteeming others better than ourselves, and doing good to all for God's sake. This is not about being soft or acquiescing in evil, but rather about having a lowly heart that can soften the dispositions of others and touch their hearts, leading them to meekness.

The Sermon on the Mount teaches us that when we are on a mission for Jesus Christ, there is no time to stand up for ourselves, and that looking for justice is actually a sign that we have been diverted from our devotion to Him. Instead, we should never cease to give justice, even if it's not reciprocated. This is not about promoting injustice, but rather about promoting virtue and obedience, even if it's for a lesser reason than not doing the right thing at all.

In my experience as a pastor, I've seen that kindness and compassion can be shown even in the midst of injustice, not by compromising our values, but by loving and serving others, even when it's not easy. This is not about being naive or ignorant of the world's injustices, but rather about trusting in God's personal deliverance and His ability to work all things for good. As Jesus said, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:27-28) This is the kind of kindness and compassion that can transform lives and bring about justice in a way that is pleasing to God.
