Biblical Answer

A Christian can be a good teacher and still maintain a biblical worldview. In fact, the Bible commands Christians to be teachers (2 Timothy 2:2; 2 Timothy 3:14-17), and it emphasizes the importance of teaching others about Christ (Matthew 28:19-20). As Christians, we are called to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), and this requires teaching others about the truth of the Bible. However, this teaching must be done in a way that is faithful to the authority of Scripture. This means that Christian teachers must consistently apply a biblical worldview, filtering everything about the world through the lens of what Scripture says about it (2 Timothy 3:14-17).

A biblical worldview is not just about teaching doctrine, but also about living out the teachings of Scripture in everyday life. Christian teachers must model the behavior they teach, and this requires a deep commitment to living out the teachings of Scripture. As J.C. Ryle writes, "The teacher's first duty is to teach the truth; but his second duty is to teach the truth in practice" (emphasis added). This means that Christian teachers must not only teach the Bible, but also live out the teachings of Scripture in their own lives. This requires a deep commitment to spiritual growth and self-reflection, as well as a willingness to learn from others and be corrected when necessary.

In order to be effective teachers, Christians must also be willing to learn and grow in their understanding of the Bible. This means being open to new areas of understanding and being willing to explore the teachings of Scripture in new and creative ways. As the Bible says, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). This means that Christian teachers must be committed to ongoing learning and growth, and must be willing to seek out new knowledge and understanding in order to better teach others about Christ. By doing so, they can effectively teach others about the truth of the Bible and help them to develop a biblical worldview.
