Understanding the Concept of Tithing

Tithing is a biblical principle that involves giving a portion of one's income to God's work, whether it's to support local churches, missionaries, or other charitable causes. In the Old Testament, the Israelites were required to tithe 10 percent of their annual earnings to support the Levites, who were responsible for serving in the temple and caring for the poor (Leviticus 27:30-32).
