Experiencing Faith When Everything Falls Apart

When everything falls apart, it can be challenging to keep our faith. We may feel like we're stuck, unable to move forward, and our faith may be shaken. In such situations, it's essential to take an inventory of our faith and assess where we are. We need to ask ourselves questions like: "Have I been waiting for God to open the door for a move or a new opportunity?" "What role can faith play in my life when I hit a wall or get discouraged because the odds seem overwhelming?" "Is something holding back the development of my faith?" By reflecting on these questions, we can identify areas where our faith may be lacking and take steps to strengthen it.

Daily Personal Time with God

Establishing a daily personal time with God is crucial for developing dynamic faith. This is when we talk to Him and He talks to us, friend to friend. By spending time with God, we can learn to trust Him, even when we don't understand what's happening. We can pray specifically about any obstacle in our life, asking for Christ to enlighten us, give us strength to overcome, and help us believe steadfastly on Him. As we do this, we can remember that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). We need to seek light for the next step, trust God for guidance in small increments, and do what lies clearly at hand.

In moments of uncertainty and doubt, it's essential to remember that faith is not about intellectual understanding, but a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when we can't see the way ahead. We need to trust God for guidance, provision, and protection. As we do this, we can learn to believe that things will happen just as He has told us, even when we can't see the way ahead. We need to take a leap of faith into God's provision, even when we don't understand what's happening. By doing this, we can experience dynamic faith, even in the midst of challenges and uncertainty. As the Bible says, "He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24). God is faithful, and He will do it. We just need to trust Him and take the first step.
