As I sit here, reflecting on the question of whether God is still with me even in suffering, I'm reminded of the many times I've seen Him work in my life and the lives of those around me. As a pastor, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of the darkest moments, and I've seen time and time again how God can take even the most difficult experiences and use them for our good. It's not that He causes the suffering, but rather that He is gracious and loving enough to make it count.
I think of the story of Job, who suffered greatly at the hands of Satan, yet in the end, God used his suffering to demonstrate His power and sovereignty. Similarly, I think of Jesus, who suffered on the cross, not just for Himself, but for us, to bring us redemption and salvation. His suffering was not in vain, but rather it was a demonstration of His love and commitment to us. As I reflect on these examples, I'm reminded that God is not distant or disinterested, but rather He is actively involved in our lives, even in the midst of suffering.
As a Christian, I believe that God is always with me, even in suffering. He is not a God who stands idly by, watching us suffer, but rather He is a God who is actively working, even in the midst of pain and difficulty. His love and care for us are not limited to times of ease and comfort, but rather they are constant, even in the midst of suffering. I've seen this in my own life, as well as in the lives of those around me, and I'm confident that God will use even the most difficult experiences to bring about good in our lives.
