Your Question:
How am I going to take care of my kids?
Answer:
Taking care of my kids, Joshua and Rebecca, is a top priority for Susan and me. As a pastor, I've learned that serving others is an essential part of our faith, and I believe that includes serving our children. I strive to be there for them 24/7, helping them develop into the people God wants them to become. Whether it's playing with them, having family game nights, or just spending quality time together, we make sure to prioritize our time with them. One way we like to serve our children is by teaching them the importance of giving back to others. We've had them choose clothes and toys to donate to charity, and we've even created care packages for homeless families. These experiences not only help them develop empathy and compassion but also teach them about the value of sacrifice and obedience to God. We also make sure to encourage them and tell them "good job" when they do what's right, just like Lady Bird Johnson once said. As they grow older, we're learning to transition from being their authority figures to being their guides and mentors. We're praying for God's guidance on how to support them as they make their own decisions and learn to live independently. We want to be there for them, cheering them on and offering counsel when they need it. By submitting ourselves to God and asking for His help, we're trusting that He'll guide us in our parenting and give us the wisdom we need to raise our kids to follow Him.
