The Measure of Gods Love for You

The Bible says that God loves you more than anything, and that is why He made you. But how can we measure the extent of Gods love for us? To understand this, we must look beyond human sympathies and emotions. As F. B. Meyer said, "Do you want to know how much Jesus loves you? Ah! soul, before you can even begin to measure that love, you have to understand that God loves the people around you too much to give you everything you ask for." This means that God's love is not just about giving us what we want, but about His desire to be in a relationship with us and to bless us in ways that we may not even be aware of.

The Evidence of Gods Love

So, how can we know that God loves us? The Bible says that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the propitiation for our sins. This act of love is the greatest expression of God's love for us. It shows that God is willing to sacrifice His own Son for us, and that He wants to have a personal relationship with us. As 1 John 4:9-11 says, "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." The Response to Gods Love

So, how should we respond to God's love? The Bible says that we should love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. This means that we should prioritize our relationship with God and seek to understand His love for us. We should also seek to love others in the same way that God loves us. As 1 John 4:11 says, "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." This means that our love for God should be expressed in our love for others, and that we should seek to show God's love to those around us.
