Understanding Affordability from a Biblical Perspective

When considering whether or not one can afford to live, it's essential to understand that the concept of affordability is not solely defined by financial means. In the Bible, Jesus teaches that true wealth is not measured by material possessions or financial success but by one's relationship with God and their ability to trust in His sovereignty. As Jesus said, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:19-21).

From a biblical perspective, being able to afford to live is not about accumulating wealth or possessions but about living a life that reflects God's values and teachings. The Bible warns against the dangers of materialism and the pursuit of wealth at the expense of one's relationship with God.
