Can I still trust God when life is unfair?

When life seems unfair, it can be challenging to trust God. The Bible teaches that God is merciful and not merely fair (Psalm 103:8). His mercy means that He doesn't give us the cosmic justice we deserve (Matthew 9:29). This is good news, as it means we have a certain amount of control over our decisions and can choose to respond to God in obedience. As we respond to God in obedience, we can develop a knack for trusting Him consistently, which is called perseverance (Romans 5:3-4). This means that even when life is unfair, we can still trust God.

Why is trusting God important?

Trusting God is essential because He wants us to know Him as the source of all good things (Psalm 91:1-2). When we trust Him, we acknowledge that He is the One Who suffered for us, and we turn to Him as our true destination (John 3:16).
