Why Is God Testing Me with This Chronic Pain?

#### Understanding God's Sovereignty

When faced with chronic pain, it's natural to wonder why God allows it. The Bible teaches that God is sovereign over all creation, including the universe and every event within it (Job 1:21, Psalm 115:3). His sovereignty means that He has complete control and authority over everything, including the experiences of His people.

#### The Nature of Pain and Suffering

Pain and suffering are not inherent to God's creation; rather, they are consequences of humanity's sinful choices (Romans 5:12). God desires that there be no physical pain in His creation (Revelation 21:4), but in specific instances, He chooses not to intervene, allowing pain to serve a purpose in our lives.
