Biblical Answer

When we feel abandoned by God, it's often a sign that we've lost sight of our trust in Him. We begin to focus on our circumstances and our feelings, rather than on God's sovereignty and goodness. This can lead to feelings of resentment, fear, and depression. However, it's essential to remember that God is not absent or uninterested in our lives. In fact, He is actively seeking us, even when we feel far from Him. As the Bible says, "He knows the way He taketh, even if for the moment we do not" (Psalm 107:7).

Feeling abandoned by God can also be a result of our own lack of surrender and trust. When we refuse to let go of our own understanding and control, we create roadblocks that prevent us from experiencing God's presence and guidance. We might be hesitant to question God about our circumstances, or we might be unaware of the ways in which He is working in our lives. However, when we surrender ourselves to God and trust in His goodness, we begin to see the world in a new light. We realize that our struggles and sufferings are not a sign of abandonment, but rather an opportunity for us to lean on God and develop character.

The Bible reminds us that God is a God of redemption and restoration. He is not a God who abandons His people, but rather one who seeks to draw near to them and restore their relationship with Him. As the Psalmist writes, "Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge" (Psalm 62:8). When we feel abandoned by God, we must seek to understand the reasons behind our feelings and to surrender ourselves to Him. By doing so, we can begin to experience the life of faith, rather than a life of emotional enjoyment of His blessings. We can learn to trust in God's sovereignty and goodness, even in the midst of our struggles and sufferings.
