Biblical Answer

To answer this question, we must first consider the nature of God and His relationship to humanity. The Bible teaches that God is a loving and all-powerful God who desires that there should be no physical pain in His creation. However, in particular instances, He decides not to realize this desire by a special act of His own. Pain is a place of special closeness with Him, and He often uses it to draw us closer to Himself. In ours, the order is reversed. God is not indifferent to our pain, but rather, He is using it to draw us closer to Himself and to help us understand the seriousness of sin.

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the God who inhabits our suffering, and that He hurts for hurting people. When we suffer, we can turn to Him for help and comfort, and He will use our pain to draw us closer to Himself. In fact, the Bible teaches that God is in control of all things, including our suffering, and that He has a plan to eliminate pain and suffering from this world. Until then, Christians are to turn to Him in their pain and suffering, trusting that those reasons are for our ultimate good. By trusting in Him, we can have hope that the ending of our story will be unimaginably good.
