Experiencing Faith When Everything is Falling Apart

When everything is falling apart, it can be challenging to maintain our faith. However, this is a perfect opportunity to assess our faith and take an inventory of our relationship with God. As we navigate through difficult circumstances, we need to ask ourselves questions such as: What role can faith play in my life when I hit a wall or get discouraged because the odds seem overwhelming? How can faith help me overcome obstacles and challenges? The Bible reminds us that faith is not just intellectual understanding, but a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when we can't see the way ahead (Hebrews 11:1).

Developing Dynamic Faith

Developing dynamic faith requires a daily personal time with God, where we talk to Him and He talks to us friend to friend. This is when we establish a prayer-relationship with God, where we can communicate our thoughts, feelings, and needs. As we pray, we need to ask God to enlighten us, give us strength to overcome the roadblocks in our life, and understand what He is doing. The Bible reminds us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Therefore, we need to immerse ourselves in the scriptures, pray specifically about any obstacle in our life, and ask for Christ to give us strength to overcome the challenges we face.

Maintaining Faith in Difficult Circumstances

Maintaining faith in difficult circumstances requires us to trust in God's sovereignty and goodness. We need to believe that God is holy love, and that He is working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28). When we face challenges and obstacles, we need to remember that our faith will not fail while God sustains it. We are not strong enough to fall away while God is resolved to hold us. Therefore, we need to trust in God's power and provision, and believe that He will do something, even when we don't know what He will do. By doing so, we can develop dynamic faith that will help us overcome obstacles and challenges, and glorify God in difficult circumstances.
